LOVELY BUT DEADLY POSTER

How can anybody not like this poster?

LOVELY BUT DEADLY, is frequently confused with SILENT BUT DEADLY ( it smells regardless of title )... ha-ha-ha...

This movie contains a fight scene, that is simultaneously lame, creative, and entertaining. The epic altercation takes place in the girls locker room, and the first time I saw it, I could not stop laughing.

On the flip-side, it also has one of the most original murders I've ever seen ( think steam veggies ).

How did the filmmakers manage to get Marie Windsor to be in their movie? She was in some of my favorite noir and crime flicks.

Just for the record, I like this movie.

It was released on VHS by VESTRON.

LOVELY BUT DEADLY is not available via legit region one DVD. So you'll have to track down a "grey market" disc.

STREET GIRLS POSTER

I really love the sleazy artwork. It's so proudly salacious!

STREET GIRLS was allegedly co-written by Barry Levinson!

I have no idea, if STREET GIRLS was ever released on VHS.

There's NO legit region one DVD, only a "grey market" disc from a company called J4HI.

A newspaper ad for STREET GIRLS. It played as part of a drive-in double feature with a flick called STACEY.

MOVIE ADS: THE STEPFORD WIVES

When I was young, I watched this movie repeatedly. I found it intriguing on many levels.

Katharine Ross, Paula Prentiss, and Tina Louise do a wonderful job.

I love the ending.

As with INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS, this story has been filmed several times. At least some of the BODY SNATCHER remakes were actually good. Especially the 1970's version, which I consider more of a sequel than a remake. You can NOT say the same about any of the STEPFORD WIVES remakes.

The VHS was released by ANCHOR BAY.

The region one DVD was released twice. Once by ANCHOR BAY, and once by PARAMOUNT.

THE AROUSERS POSTER

A very interesting looking poster.

THE AROUSERS ( aka SWEET KILL ), stars Tab Hunter and also features Angus Scrimm, aka "the tall man" from the PHANTASM series of horror movies.

I don't know if this movie was ever sold on VHS.

SHOUT FACTORY released THE AROUSERS on region one DVD ( using the SWEET KILL title ).

MOVIE ADS: THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW

THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW is one of the countless slasher flicks that FLOODED the market during the 1980s.

Because of that, I quickly lost interest in most slasher flicks.

At least, THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW has some cute chicks in it.

This movie is still very popular.

FYI: There is a REMAKE called SORORITY ROW.

I can not remember which company released it on VHS.

ELITE ENTERTAINMENT, LIBERATION ENTERTAINMENT, and SCORPION RELEASING have all released this movie on region one DVD.

Elizabeth used to have a cushy job that paid $75,000 a year. But, she quit to chase her dreams of becoming a professional writer.

She now works for a pretentious Los Angeles based lifestyle magazine.

Her husband Eric, is a selfish whiny asshole.

Her new boss Griffin, is a colossal hard-ass. He is threatening to fire her, if she doesn't come up with a great story for the next issue.

Elizabeth goes to San Francisco for a story. She meets an older woman named Ann, who is having an affair with a young man called Bob.

Elizabeth knows this would make a great story. She gets close to Ann, and soon finds herself living vicariously through her. Unfortunately, Ann is murdered and things only get worse, far worse.

DO I WANT MY MONEY BACK?:
NO!...

EXTRAMARITAL is somewhat predictable and a little slow at times. So what?! Traci Lords, and Jeff Fahey are in this movie, and that's the only reason I need to add this flick to my collection.

How many people have been able to reinvent themselves as successfully as Traci?

Ms. Lords appeared in two of my favorite MARRIED WITH CHILDREN episodes ( TOOTH OR CONSEQUENCES and AL BUNDY, SHOE DICK ).

Foghorn Leghorn, Colonel Sanders, and Jeff Fahey... Whose southern accent is more genuine?... You decide!...

I do NOT understand why Mr. Fahey's character has to speak in a SOUTHERN ACCENT. That was a huge mistake. What the hell were they thinking? Listening to him speak in that accent is extremely entertaining.

FYI: Traci Lords and Jeff Fahey also starred in a movie called EPICENTER.

I don't know if EXTRAMARITAL was ever released on VHS, but it was released on region one DVD by TRINITY.

MOVIE ADS: THE PRIVATE AFTERNOONS OF PAMELA MANN

I have not seen this movie since the early 80's.

THE PRIVATE AFTERNOONS OF PAMELA MANN was filmed in Manhattan.

Back then, many pornos were real movies - but with real sex - and many were filmed on location.

If this movie were made today, it would probably be filmed on a small studio set, use stock footage of New York, consist of wall-to-wall superficial sex, and would be performed by artificial looking pod-people.

I don't remember if this movie had a legit VHS release.

PAMELA MANN was released on region one DVD by DISTRIBPIX / VIDEO-X-PIX.

From what I've read, DISTRIBPIX / VIDEO-X-PIX has given this movie the "CRITERION" treatment.

Their DVD set of PAMELA MANN contains, 2 discs with numerous extras and a thick booklet ( over forty pages ).

THE CANDY SNATCHERS POSTER

This poster was a little controversial when it was released, but I think it's excellent.

This is one of my favorite movies from the 1970s.

Tiffany Bolling is one of the stars. She was one of the most talented GRINDHOUSE ERA actresses to ever appear on screen.

If you watch THE CANDY SNATCHERS, be patient... Do NOT leave your chair during the last fifteen minutes of the movie!

I do NOT remember which company released it on VHS.

THE CANDY SNATCHERS was released on region one DVD by a company called SUBVERSIVE. This small company is NO longer in business.

MOVIE ADS: SASQUATCH

BIGFOOT flicks were extremely popular during the 1970s, and still are.

Most folks - myself included - have confused SASQUATCH: THE LEGEND OF BIGFOOT ( by Ed Ragozzino ), with another bigfoot docudrama called THE LEGEND OF BIGFOOT ( by Harry Winer ).

I don't know if this film was released on VHS, but it was released on region one DVD by RETROMEDIA. It's part of a triple feature called SASQUATCH HORROR COLLECTION ( out of print ).

SASQUATCH is also know as SASQUATCH: THE LEGEND OF BIGFOOT

I LOVE YOU, EDDIE DEEZEN

Just for the record, I LOVE YOU EDDIE DEEZEN, is the name of the movie!... This is NOT an announcement of my undying love for him!... OK?!... ha-ha-ha...

I LOVE YOU EDDIE DEEZEN was written, directed, and produced by a filmmaker named Sherry Mattson. She also stars in it! She sounds like a real version of WONDER WOMAN.

You may not know Mr. Deezen by name, but you probably know his face and voice. He has been in A LOT of movies and tv shows... Such as...

GREASE

GREASE II

THE POLAR EXPRESS

WARGAMES

CRITTERS II

PUNKY BREWSTER

MUGSY'S GIRLS ( AKA DELTA PI ) - A very rare movie with the late Laura Branigan. I can not remember the name of the company that released it on VHS. Anyway, good luck trying to find a copy of this flick!

He also appears in ASSAULT OF THE KILLER BIMBOS ( one of my favorites )... He's FUCKING HILARIOUS! He's also extremely underrated as an actor.

I don't know much about the movie, so visit the official website for more info.

FYI: I am NOT a member of FECESbook ( aka FACEBOOK ), or TWATter ( aka TWITTER ).
